Bishan Community Club also known as Bishan CC is conveniently situated in the midst of Bishan, opposite the Bishan MRT station, Singapore.
The Community Club is also recognized for its Indian Classical Dance interest group, which has taken part in various processions, National Day Parade, Residents’ Committees (RC) organized functions, temple shows as well as overseas performances.
The purpose of strengthening is to increase the beam capacity due to additional loading at the 2nd and 4th floors. Initially, FRP strengthening was not the preferred strengthening method due to the high deflection and bending moment caused by the additional loading on the beams. Due to the headroom constraint, a combination of FRP wrapping and conventional jacketing was proposed as an alternative strengthening solution for the affected beams.
The project was completed in February 2013.
