Repair and Waterproofing to Water Tanks at International Plaza Building using TYFO^® Fibrwrap^® Waterproofing System

International Plaza is a 50-storey office and residential complex situated in Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD). The construction was part of a grand redevelopment plan for the central area of Singapore, which started as early as 1966 and was completed in 1976.

The reinforced concrete water tanks had not been upgraded since the building was operational and the client had concerns over the condition of the tanks. Following a tender, Fibrwrap Construction Pte Ltd was awarded for the concrete repair works and installation of the waterproofing system on the internal surface of the tanks.

The waterproofing works within the tanks are confined space works as there is only a single opening for access in and out. Fibrwrap Construction deployed competent and qualified personnel in the confined space works to execute this project.

The project was completed successfully in October 2023.
